Completion date 2012

In July 2012, the Dutch Consulate and the Permanent Representative to the United Nations relocated from two locations to one new office in the Chrysler East Building, 666 Third Avenue in New York. The eighteenth and nineteenth floors were connected with a new staircase. This spatial modification is a determining factor for the design; it is literally the connection between the two organizations. The artist Peter Struijcken designed a sixteen colour scheme for the concept. The colours ensure a variation in the experience of the areas on the one hand while at the same time creating a unified whole. The applied contemporary photography and the furniture from Dutch designers make it a splendid business card for our country.
