Previously, the CKE was located at two separate sites. Our client's ambition was to bring together all art education into one dynamic, open, and welcoming building. To achieve this, one of the two locations was closed, and the decision was made to renovate and expand the former music school. A complete floor with classrooms for visual arts and multifunctional rooms for dance and theater was added to this building. Part of the ground floor was lowered to increase contact with the city and create an open stage. The addition of a second facade with steel louvers has given the building a new identity. The transformation is especially visible in the evenings when it gets dark. The building turns itself inside out; the activities become visible, inviting you to enter the House of Amateur Arts.
